Next Scholarship Audition:

International Ballet is pleased to offer a scholarship program open to ballet students from Greenville, SC and surrounding areas for study at the International Ballet Academy in Greer, SC. The purpose of the program is to ensure that talented and motivated dancers, ages 6 to 18 are able to continue and progress in their ballet studies, regardless of their financial circumstances.
Scholarship applicants complete an application, provide financial information and attend a ballet audition. Independent dance professionals serve as audition judges. Essential to each award is demonstrated commitment by both the student and their parents to serious dance training and the requirements of the scholarship award. All scholarship recipients are also expected to complete work assignments for the IBA studio. Scholarship recipients are also expected to participate in sponsor events and performances.
Scholarships are awarded to dancers from ages 6 - 18 in Ballet levels I through V. Auditions are held during September and awards apply to tuition from September through May.
The IB Scholarship Program is funded by tax-deductible donations from generous Greenville community businesses, individuals and families committed to furthering training in the art of classical ballet for young people in our community. These scholarships are for training at the International Ballet Academy in Greer, SC. The number of scholarships awarded is based on current donations and is distributed equally among the dance levels.
Scholarship Students are expected to:
Attend required classes, rehearsals
Make up any classes missed
Complete monthly IBA work assignments
Maintain exemplary behavior and attitude
Represent IBA and IB well in the community
Participate in all scheduled sponsor events
Maintain academic school GPA of 2.5 or higher
Parents of Scholarship Students are expected to:
Ensure that their student attends required classes, rehearsals and events
Represent IBA and IB parents well
Volunteer time to help IB/IBA
Discuss with the director any special circumstances affecting their student’s dance studies
Students/parents who do not consistently meet expectations will forfeit their scholarship.
